Designing and manufacturing suspension equipment since 2008.
These are the final pairs remaining and no more will ever be made of the Dissected Art Threadlocks
It’s been a good run, but it’s time to focus on other products. One of those is a new suspension rig system and one is a new suspension hook. I look forward to unveiling them in the near future.
Thank you all for your support over the years. It has been a great honor having a small part of so many suspensions.
These hooks are all including cnc machined stainless steel bolts and frames, but the pin is titanium and can be anodized no further customization is possible
The ThreadLock suspension hook is 100% CNC machined in the USA.
Designed and engineered to be the most secure and easy to use hook while having a ridiculously heavy load capacity.
The functional and artistic design:
The fit of the hook is something pictures can't show, but all frames are bent with custom made dies to provide total consistency in the bending process. The edges are cut with with a 45 degree chamfer and tumbled for a full day to a finish that is smooth as glass with no sharp edges to cut cloves or dig into the skin.
The taper on the pin provides an easy stretch after piercing to reduce bleeding, and the pin hole is 3D machined to be an exact mirror to the taper on the pin. There is no gap for skin to get pinched. People often suspend without ever stopping to clean up blood, even after a full day wearing the hooks. The pin is placed low on the frame to allow the skin to stay relaxed and piercing the entire length of the pin doesn't pull the skin away from the body, which typically causes discomfort from the frames “biting” into the body around the holes.
Nearly every needle made fits these pins perfectly, with the exception of the Industrial Strength 6 gauge needles. These have double the wall thickness of standard needles and forces the connection on the pin to fit loose on every other needle in order to make it compatible with IS needles.
The company that makes needles providing the best confirmed fit is Precision Needles. They can be purchased from their website https://www.precision.supplies/products/needles/#piercingneedles

Materials used:
The ThreadLock is produced from high quality, American made materials.
The frames of the hook are available in 304L Stainless steel.
To lock the hook closed, a hard coat anodized aluminum thumb bolt is an economical option, but anodizing strips with some ultrasonic chemicals, so check the MSDS for your cleaners before submerging them. These bolts are still autoclavable.
For the best fit, the ThreadLock thumb bolt is available in stainless steel or titanium. It is CNC machined to perfectly match the threaded hole in the frame. The taper leading up to the jimping on the bolt head perfectly matches the 45 degree angle on the hook hole chamfer, which ensures a perfect connection. It’s also machined to the precise dimensions required to operate the hook without removing the bolt (the aluminum bolt does also, but barely.)
The pin features a grade 23 titanium threaded pin which remains securely attached to the hook while piercing. The opposite side has a perfect taper machined to stretch from a 6G needle to 3/6" or roughly a 5G.
The locking bolt threads into one frame eliminating the need for a nut. This also makes it impossible for the bolt to vibrate loose while the hook is weighted. The bolt has a textured head for finger tightening, so there are no tools to keep track of, and you can always remove the hook quickly if necessary.
